Prix Versaille Award Europe Hotel Category
Almanac Barcelona and Jamie Beriestain
We are pleased to announce that Almanac Barcelona, designed by Jaime Beriestain has been recognized as the winner in the hotel category for the 2018 Prix Versaille Award Europe. On Thursday, April 26, 2018, the International Conference Center of Algiers hosted the Continental Ceremony for the regions of Africa and West Asia and Europe. Twenty-four (24) new projects (6 stores, 6 shopping malls, 6 hotels and 6 restaurants) were rewarded for their outstanding architecture and design.
“We are honored that Jaime Beriestain’s design for Almanac Barcelona has been chosen as the hotel in the European category. This prestigious award is well deserved for his creativity and vision for this project,” says Herbert Haselbacher, CEO. “We are also excited about his participation in the design of our next Almanac hotel opening in Vienna in a former Palais.”
The Prix Versaille recognizes the most outstanding achievements, from the point of view of interior and exterior architecture. Because this prize is associated with Versailles, the concept is that this world symbol of beauty and elegance should serve not as a model, but as a beacon or impetus for quality commercial architecture, today and tomorrow.
