Hotel Es Princep

Live Like a Mallorcan

Hotel Es Princep takes its name from the Prince who oversaw the construction of the extraordinary wall that sits outside of the hotel – the Baluard del Princep. This impressive bastion of sloped walls and a corner watchtower relay a history and distinct sense of drama upon approaching the hotel.

Privately owned by a Mallorcan family, their intention is to introduce guests to a unique Mallorcan lifestyle. This concept is underscored throughout the entire hotel and is found in the décor, architecture and atmosphere, but it’s the lifestyle of living on this exceptional island that they wish for guests to experience in a very authentic way.

Rooms with a View

The position of Es Princep is formidable – sitting on a prominent corner directly atop the Baluard in the Calatrava neighborhood - the historic center of Palma. Floor to ceiling windows allow sunlight to flood guest rooms and the elevated position offers views of the city and the sea.

Guest amenities are sourced from Le Labo, a New York–based perfume house known for its collection of handmade perfumes and scents. Es Princep has chosen the most addictive scent, Santal 33. Inspired by "an open fire and the soft drift of smoke," Le Labo's Santal 33 fuses notes of cardamom and sandalwood with leather, earthy iris and musky ambrox.

Bala Roja - Gourmet Artistry

In the restaurant Bala Rojaaward-winning Chef Andreu Genestra, has a love affair with the local cuisine. He combines tradition with innovation creating a culinary odyssey to remember. Genestra is also a favorite of the locals, who enjoy Mallorcan gourmet artistry. Tying in the history of the areas, Bala Roja translates to Red Bullet - or the cannons that were used to protect the city from invaders. Those days are in the past - everyone is welcome today!
